Innovation is always in motion with Honda. That's true with the models in our Shelburne, VT showroom as new technology and features are added to vehicles. Today, we're going to discuss some of the new options that can be found under the hood, as the automaker introduced three new VTEC power plants.

So, what is VTEC exactly? Well, like all Honda engines, it is efficient and reliable. In this case, it uses variable valve timing to ensure that is the case. Now, with these three new units, there will be three- and four-cylinder options and each can be driven with either 1.0-liters, 1.5-liters, or 2.0-liters. That's a nice set of options to have, and all are slated to be found on small and mid-size new Honda models.

One of those vehicles set for this treatment includes the Civic and the R Type variant. The highly stylized model will be able to churn out 276 horsepower, as all these new engines will now utilize direct injection and turbocharging.

Right now, these new VTEC engines are headed to European and Asian markets first, but Honda has stated this will be a global release, so here at The Automaster Honda, we're confident that it will make its way stateside at some point, and our lineup will be better for it.

But, there's already loads of quality here in our showroom, so stop in today and check out all the new Honda vehicles we have. Our team would be happy to answer any questions, provide more details, and arrange test drives at your convenience.
